Ember's sharp intake of breath was the only sound that disturbed the silence of the room, Her eyes were shut as she slowly began to take in his memories. Her heart pounding in her chest and blood roared in her ears. So much pain. So much sorrow. It broke her heart.

A whirlwind of four-hundred years is what Ember was drug through; centuries of sorrow and pain, existing only to keep his people safe and help them to thrive. There was a darkness in Kayrin's heart and soul, embedded there of his many long years of life, dredging up the greed and lust of his demonic side. Kayrin was not a bad being; he was a victim of circumstance, of the demons' care.

Ember's eyes were blank as she stared at her mate, she didn't know what to say, so she simply stared. "We...We need to talk to my father."she said softly. She slowly stood and went to him(cause spots don't remember where he is). She took his hands,"You're my mate."she whispered as she leaned up and kissed him softly on the cheek. It amazed her. Her mate was Nephilim and the king of Nephilim no less.

Lyric appeared just infront of him. Her long pastel hair pooling over her shoulder,"You should learn to be afraid of the shadows."she whispered. Her gold eyes peering up at him as her fangs slid out. A grin took on her features. Finally. She would have a good meal.

For the briefest of moments, greed won out, almost convincing him to keep Ember's soul and keep her captive, bound to him, but, with a single word of power, spoken in the softest voice, with the word 'revertimini', Kayrin set free Ember's soul. It hovered in the air around them for a moment, pure and angelic, before it returned to where it belonged - Ember. The instant her soul connected with her body once more, her connection to the Schimba people slid back into place. Jai's voice broke through.
