Lyric stared out at the horizon, watching as the Sun began it's nightly retreat. The young Strigoi was gently tucked into the side of an old oak tree with her head resting on the rough bark and her legs dangling into oblivion. Her pastel color hair caught the dying rays of the sun and shined. It looked as if Lyric wore a halo. She looked ethereal. The strigoi smiled as she leapted down from her perch and started to head deeper into the woods.
The Strigoi was beautiful, but different and special at the sametime. She had rainbow hair. Pinks, blues, and purples. She wore an oversize gray sweater with a white tank, a pair of shorts, silver cross earrings, and pink doc martens. Quite the ensemble.

Costin waited, eyes the color of pitch glittering with mischief, at the table where the summit would take place on his lands. It was made of a smooth, expensive granite, no doubt carried to its current resting place by Costin's people. Costin's chair was more like a throne, coated in extravagant gold plating and jewels. The Strigoi stood, watching as Doru, head of the Priciolici, stepped into the clearing. His brown eyes met Costin's, glowing with the spirit of the wolf, as he went to his seat opposite Costin's. The Aratare King was next, appearing out of thin air as a shadowy mass that took a shape akin to that of a human. He was see-through, more of a mist really, though his blood-red eyes were pronounced. He drifted to the seat next to Costin, hovering in the air. From the skies above came Kayrin, Lord of the Nephilim. His raven-colored wings blotted out the sun for the briefest moment before the half-angel landed, striking the earth. His wings slowly folded, shielding the Nephilim's back as he moved towards his seat, opposite the Aratare King.
Two Kings were yet to arrive, and but a scant few minutes later, Vetyl, the Cibarium lord, stepped into the light, melting from the shadows. His mistrusting gaze darted about before he took his seat, next to the Aratare.
One more King.

The distant pounding of drums announced Unole's arrival. He stepped into the clearing, every bit the chief that he had been in his youth. He had dressed in his cultural garb, soulful brown eyes watching each King carefully for a long moment. He tilted his head upwards slightly in greeting, the feathers along his headdress rustling slightly. When he stepped towards his chair, the drumming tapered off, and Unole's escort (for his people had insisted on this) departed, though Jai stepped from the trees, Ember nearby, leaf-green eyes dark. His gaze darted to Costin quick enough to catch the flash of surprise and anger across the Strigoi leader's expression and Jai's jaw clenched slightly.
"Welcome," Costin purred, regaining his amused aura, "to the annual summit. I, Costin, Lord of the Strigoi, offer you all the strength and power of my people." His gaze swept across the table, settling on Jai for a moment, a flash of childlike excitement darting through his gaze. The Aratare King spoke next, his voice a raspy whisper. "I, Hasufel, King of the Aratare, offer you all the power of my people."

The white doe flanked her father's right side. Her eyes searching all of the mighty kings faces. Her gaze paused on Doru, the princess tilted her head, he reminded her of her father. She felt like she could trust him. She would seek him out after her father left this plane for the next she realized. Her gaze shifted to Costin, her gaze simply curious. He was the reason Lyric was the way she was. Slightly mad. She had been a Schimba before she was Strigoi after all. She peered at him and than slowly her gaze shifted to Kayrin. He was beautiful. Those wings were simply beautiful and she wondered what it would feel like to fly beside him. But underneath his beauty she knew he was evil. Her gaze coutinued on it's voyage. It found Death next. She didn't think anything as her gaze yet again shifted, but instead of falling on a king it fell on a prince. Jai. She knew it was not official title, but her people treated him so. He was gorgeous and though Ember didn't want to admit. She wanted him. She wanted him badly. Her gaze once again shifted as she looked back at Costin

[oops forgot the Witch-King xD]
Thanatos, or Thane as he sometimes went by, turned his sunken-in black gaze to the summit. "I, Thanatos, the Witch-King, offer you a delay of need for my services." He smiled at that, settling back into his seat. Jai shot him a look that was amused, though it quickly sobered when Kayrin spoke. The half-angel spoke in a silky voice as lovely as the heavens, though it was all a ruse. "I, Kayrin, King of the Nephilim, offer you the grace of my people." He smiled at Ember, a sultry and knowing look before settling into his chair, allowing Vetyl to speak next. "I, Vetyl, King of the Cibarium, offer you the power of my people." His mistrusting gaze flittered about, settling on no one for longer than a few scant minutes. He trusted no one but his own kind, since he had been betrayed long ago. Now, only Doru and Unole remained to offer their blessings. After a silent nod between them, Doru spoke, voice a low rumble, echoing the strength of the wolf inside. "I, Doru, King of the Priciolici, offer you that strength of my people." With those words, only Unole remained. The Schimba king took a deep breath before he finally spoke, voice of the ages. "I, Unole, King of the Schimba, offer you the wisdom of my people and the grace of the Great Spirit." A slight dip of the head and introductions were done.
Costin wasted no time, demanding more land. "My kind is growing. We need more space to thrive! The Schimba have always held the greatest stretch of territory, and yet they are dwindling; they are a dying breed! Why not give up some of your land for those who prosper, Unole?" Unole's brown gaze was dark, though he responded in a calm voice. "The lands of my people are sacred, and have been since before the time of the Europeans. It is the homeland of my kind, and every square-inch is precious. I would not give a centimeter of my tribal lands to you, Costin."

The white doe stiffened, but her promise to her father rang true. She kept her mouth shut and instead focused on something else or rather someone else. She let her gaze drink in Jai once more. This time she noticed everything. The angle of his cheekbones, the way his lips parted, everything. She needed a distraction and it was either him or Kayrin and Kayrin she was sure would have her under a spell in less than a minute.

"Nonsense!" Costin growled. "The past is the past. Move on!" "You ask me to give up the home of my people-" "A dying breed!" "A people that you have slaughtered!" Unole roared, surging to his feet. "A people whom you seek to destroy!" "You dare accuse me of such a act?" Costin snarled, baring his fangs. "I have many allies in the forest, many spies in my service." "False accusations!" The vampire spat.

The white doe wanted to cry out and defend her father and her people. It was in her to do so. To protect the people she loved and ones who couldn't stand up for themselves. It went against her very design to keep her mouth shut. She glanced at Jai. She needed a distraction and fast. The future of her people depended on her keeping her mouth shut. Are you still mad at me? Ember asked Jai.

Probably, Jai responded, voice clipped. Costin growled, eyes flashing. "You shame my people, Schimba," he hissed. "Is war what you want? You will not win. What will you do to save your kin?" Costin's eyes darted to Jai for a brief moment, and Unoke understand. Raw fury blasted through the link that Unole shared with all his people, and Jai went stiff, face pale. His hands curled into fists.
