Fay nodded in agreement. "We'll totally do it. Should we go find him now or do you want to wait until later?" She glanced back down at Charlie, kissing the little girl on the head. "We're gonna fix your dada and make him realize he can't be bad." She said softly. "Yeah, your father is an idiot." Despite her words, there was still affection edging her voice. She knew that Adam's actions were because he was trying to cope with all this hurt he felt, even if they were rather misguided. Of course, it still wasn't an excuse for him to turn his back on anyone else. He wasn't even doing anything wrong, technically. He was unmarried, so he was allowed to bring to bed whomever he wanted to, and he was smart enough to avoid driving if he planned to drink.
Adam muttered something about that "being a load of bull" before groaning quietly and deciding that talking was too problematic. His head was killing him and his stomach was twisting uncomfortably. Never drinking again. Not a drop of alcohol ever again. I think I'm going to die. And if I don't, maybe someone will kill me soon. He thought, actually saying about half of what he'd just thought out loud, not even noticing. "Zo, you still copying me?" He asked without lifting his head.

Sadie chewed on her bottom lip, thinking too hard about this. It wasn't going to end well. She really didn't want to face him, especially under these circumstances, bit she finally just sighed, realizing it was something she should probably do. "Now?" It was said like a question because Sadie was so totally unsure of herself. "Maybe..." She trailed off, her expression one of worry. It was an expression she had often wore when they were together, like whenever he had been sick or injured. "Maybe you just talk to him? He's sure as hell not going to listen to me." She paused, before adding. "Or not? I don't know Fay..." She trailed off, wringing her hands.

"Uh huh. Don't worry, Uncle Addy, I'll beat up anyone who tries to hurt you." Zoey said, her voice slightly muffles from her forehead being against the counter and her red mane of hair covering her face.
Jessie plopped three pills infront of Adam. "These should help with the pains. Head, stomach, joints. It's an all around high dose pain reliever. I expect you in the infirmary when you feel less... gross, so I can have a chance to properly diagnose you." The redhead medic said, her arms crossed as she leaned against the counter.

Fay sighed sharply this time, the sound one more of frustration than anything else now. "There's your problem, Sadie. You're too soft. You need to be more firm. Take control of this situation, be the boss. Make him listen to you. If it means that I have to tackle him to the ground and pin him, I will. I can hold a man down," She said, suddenly grinning wickedly. She left it to Sadie to interpret that how she would, stepping closer to nudge Sadie toward the bunkhouse first. That would be her best bet on where he might be at.
Adam snorted at Zoey's comment, peeking at her from the shelter of his arms. "I bet you would, too." He straightened up briefly, examining the pills carefully. It wasn't the same stuff that he normally took but he figured it would have to do. He had some prescription painkillers somewhere upstairs, but the bottle was nearly empty. He'd need to get a new script filled out soon, if possible. That deadened the pain like no other. He threw the pills back, not even bothering with water. "So, basically, after I shower, right?" He asked Jessie. He would probably feel like crap for most of the day, but at the very least, he could clean up a little. Or, perhaps Jessie meant for him to visit when his head didn't feel as if it were about to implode, or that he'd start barfing at any moment. Maybe if he slept more, he'd feel better. Sleep did sound pretty fantastic, but he knew that he really needed some sort of food in his system now, especially now that he'd taken painkillers.

"A hot bath would actually helo with the stomach pain more." Jessie said and she scooped the tender potatoes and milky soup into two bowls. The potatoes were nice and done, nearly meltingj in your mouth from absorbing the milk and butter. She sat the two bowls on the counter along with some spoons and smiled and Zoey quickly sat up to eat. The child was tiny, though it was clear she knew how to eat.

Sadie didn't look confident at all as she have Fay a pleading look. She was not good at these things at all, and in all truth, she just wanted to leave. Being here was making her extremely homesick, and she felt if she stayed any longer, it was going to be really hard to leave yet again. Sadie raises an eyebrow at Fay before her expression turned back to uneasiness. She sighed and started at a slow walk towards the bunkhouse before pausing. "But Fay...." She complained, shoulders hunched. "Isn't this just going to make him hate me even more?" She muttered as they trudge along.

Fay shook her head slowly. "He doesn't hate you, you know. That much, I know. He doesn't have it in him to hate anyone, much as he says he does. Even with that bit-ah...his ex-fiancee, Grace, he never hated her. Doesn't hate the woman that gave birth to him for walking out and leaving him behind with a man that pays more attention to his horses than his own son. Doesn't hate that guy, either. He still loves you and he doesn't like that he does, and he wishes he could get over you. This is just how he is, okay? He's just trying to convince himself that he is over you so he can feel better. But, judging by how he has been acting lately, that's just not working. C'mon." Fay urged Sadie onward. She felt that she knew Adam well enough to have her words be true. He'd been somewhat like this after the breakup with Grace, where he was in an off mood, snapping at those he was close to, and just not being himself. She remembered Mike Fletcher calling her once to discuss how worried he was about the way Adam was acting. It was just how he was.
Adam shrugged a shoulder when Jessie suggested a bath instead of a shower. He pushed himself back into that upright position, clumsily picking up his spoon. He lazily trailed the spoon through the creamy soup, head propped against his hand. He didn't take a bite, watching Zoey eat instead. Take a bite just like this little ray of sunshine is. Adam tried convincing himself, but found it impossible to move his hand to take that bite. He sighed and shook his head. "I don't want to eat," He announced, lifting his aching head up and jutting his lower lip out stubbornly.

Sadie felt like crying again after Fay spoke, eyes trained on the ground as she tried to ride her misty eyes. They eventually dissipated, but the feeling didn't. She sighed, scuffing her boot in the dirt before she glanced up to meet Fay's gaze. She felt like she was worse than all of that though, and she believed it, too. She hated herself for all of the pain she has caused. She was the bitch, for leaving him and denying him to see his daughter. After all, this was all of her fault. Sadie took a shaky sigh and just nodded. She felt like she had no place in telling him what to do, and she had a sinking feeling that this was going to end rather badly, but she kept going until they came to the stairs of the bunkhouse, and her gaze fell. "Here we go." She said quietly before giving a small, thankful smile to Fay.

Oh my god... I just thought like, some serial killer was in my house or something cause something was making a huge racket downstairs and it sounded like murder.
It was my cat -_-

Fay could see all of the expressions warring on Sadie's face, and she sighed heavily. "You better not start blaming yourself." She muttered, narrowing her eyes. She could read the guilt in Sadie's expression. "Adam was just as much at fault as you were." She said quietly before sighing. "I might take Charlie for a little walk around or something so she doesn't have to hear you guys in case things go south." She said quietly out of nowhere.
[Way to go, cat.]

Sadie sighed again, rubbing at her temple. She just shrugged at Fay's comment before rocking back on her heels. "Okay,... Er, if you need anything of hers, it's in the back of my truck. It should be open." She paused, studying her friends. "And thank you Fay." She added quietly, graditude marking her otherwise worried expression. She leaned over to give her daughter a kiss on the head before just turning to stare at the bunkhouse doors, trying to summon some sort of courage,
