Sasha turned around and screamed, a high-pitched sound. Sasha stiffened as soon as Zoey's arms wrapped around his back. He went completely still, finding he lacked the energy and heart to push her away. He spat hair out as Zoey's red mane of hair got in his mouth and merely waited her out, something he'd been known to do when he was hugged and didn't want to be. He was rather confused by Zoey's excitement at seeing him. Of course, that confusion was warranted since the last time he'd seen Zoey - which was two years ago - she'd been about five. He could feel ice forming in his veins the longer the hug went on and the tighter she squeezed. He felt anxiety ripple through his mind and seize his chest. He wanted her to let go. He didn't like the touching.

Zoey quickly let go. "How'v you been? Have you seen Fitz yet?" Her eyebrows shot up "Have you seen Skya yet?"

Sasha hesitated at the mentions of his old horse, The Mighty Fitz. "I sold him before I moved back to Russia," He said in a husky voice, wincing at the sadness that spiked up in him. Anger swiftly replaced this though as he thought of Skya. She hadn't changed one bit and she hadn't bothered to look past his anger. Clearly, she didn't know him as well as she'd thought she did. He didn't care, though. In a way, he was glad. In a way, he was upset, too. It meant that no one would find out what had happened. "Skya is a pain." He muttered and sighed. "What have I missed here?" His English was a touch better than it'd been two years ago.

Im baaaaaaack!
Zoey shrugged. "I wouldn't know. I've been in Florida the better part of a month. I suppose Sadie might know. Have you seen her? Or Adam? I just got back myself... I have no idea where my mother is. She's not in the infirmary." Zoey puffed out her cheeks in thought. "Oh! I know a new horse was delivered about a week before I left. She's beautiful! Her name is Arabesque At Dusk. Come on, I'll show you." Zoey turned and walked a few steps towards the stable, looking over her shoulder to see if he was following. "Well, come on then! She's beautiful. You'll love her. She hasn't really... connected with anyone yet. At least that's what Mom says. She doesn't like people getting to close to her or going into her stall. She gets aggressive." She paused to take a breath "I mean, nothing like the way Gal gets aggressive. All she does is pin her ears and stomp and show her teeth a bit. No one can get close to her really." She looked over her shoulder once more as they neared the entrance "You getting all this?"

XD pfft, Goldie I don't judge
Sasha shook his head slowly. He didn't talk to Adam or Sadie. Adam hadn't ever been that nice to him, so why should he bother with the other jockey? When Zoey mentioned the horse, he frowned, mentally comparing her against himself. Was Zoey trying to play matchmaker for the horse? He frowned. Sure, offer the difficult, harmless yet slightly aggressive horse to the difficult, somewhat aggressive jockey. Wasn't that nice of her? How considerate.

"Everyone else is too busy to really mess with her. I would try, but Mom says racing is 'dangers physically and mentally.', so I can't." Zoey said, her eyes rolling. She walked to the mare's stall and held her hand over the door to try and pet her, only to get a horsey glare. "Do you have time to work with her?"

Sasha shrugged his shoulders, glancing down as he thought about it. He'd need to take his license out again to be a jockey but he could still ride this filly in the meantime. "I don't have any mounts, so I guess not." He didn't bother to agree just how dangerous racing was. During his first race, he'd lost the sight in his left eye, after all. During his time in Russia, he had surgery that repaired some of the damage. He could see out of his left eye now, but the vision was terribly blurred still, and all he could really see was light, shape, movement, and color. He was still legally blind in his left eye.
