"Ready for the race today Addy?" Zoey chipped, walking towards her adopted uncle. She usually didn't call him Addy anymore, as she did when she was younger, but did sometimes to rile him up a bit. "Mom and I are going to go watch. Goodluck on Red."

"You guys are driving out all the way to Churchill Downs to see Red and I?" Adam asked, clearly delighted. Red flicked an ear and turned his broad head, chin resting on Adam's shoulder for a moment. Adam could feel the chestnut stallion's warm breath on his neck, the little whiskers tickling his skin. Adam didn't bother to move, even when Red's velvety lips began to brush against his ear. He was quite used to this from his various horses. "Hey, have you noticed? Gal's been a bit more relaxed lately since that breeding with that Lucky Dusk mare, Mikayla's Magic. When I groomed him yesterday, he didn't bite or kick, didn't pin his ears. He even lipped at my shirt." Adam grinned. It was unusual for the palomino to act anything but unkind. He still covered mares but he wasn't in as high of demand as his brother, Celestial Zephyr.

Hope spotted Fay and slowly a slow smile crept on to her lips. She waved,"Nice colt!"she called and than turned and headed for the barn. She needed to check on her mare.
The soft click of boots and hooves was all Hope heard as she entered the mare and foal barn. She tipped her head in greeting to Aiden as she passed him. Another smile slowly took form on her pink lips,"Hello, baby girl. Still no foal?"she asked the pretty dapple gray mare as she slipped inside the stall and started to groom her.

Fay glanced up when Hope commented on the foal she was playing with but didn't get a chance to say that the little fellow wasn't hers. She was just visiting him. She would hopefully be getting the chance to work with one of the foals that would be born soon, helping to train it and whatnot so that eventually, she could be its jockey. She'd once had a horse of her own, Tempered Grace, but the mare had died giving birth to Paranormal Vortex. She visited the bay colt and occasionally helped Adam out by taking him for his morning breeze, but she didn't view the colt as hers. She'd given Adam ownership of the then-foal before leaving the facility. She was left alone to her thoughts when Hope left.
Aiden glanced up of course. "You really should be moving her from the Mares and Fillies barn to the Broodmare and Foal wing. That's where she'll be best kept an eye on. We should get her there before she shows signs of labor, that way she's not as stressed out." Aiden commented. "Everyone that works that barn is trained especially for the care of a broodmare. The grooms in this barn aren't."

Hope shrugged and a soft sigh escaped her,"She won't. I tried. She refuses to go into that barn and I don't want to stress her... "She said, softly. She ducked her eyes down and pretended to look busy,"If Ever was here... She would be safe and surrounded by people who knew what they were doing. I'm sorry. I can't get her to go. I'm not her."she whispered.

Aiden turned his attention away from the little chestnut filly that he'd been crooning over and stepped over to stand beside Hope. "No, you're not Ever. I don't expect you to be her, either. You are your own person and everyone here understands that. Maybe this little lady here was more comfortable with Ever's handling and she's still getting used to your way. Who knows? If she doesn't want to enter that barn, I'll talk to one of the grooms over there and see if they'll check in on her often. I keep an eye on her myself, so she's pretty well-looked after. We can get a camera set up that links to my office as well, just to be sure." He added. "There's been no signs of waxing, has there?" He knew that waxing on the teats was a sign that the mare would foal shortly. "She doesn't seem particularly restless yet, either." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"He's really pretty, isn't he?" Keely asked Fay when she stopped beside the other woman. "I like horses like 'em. A color beside black, that will eventually change to gray." The young woman shifted slowly, gaze trained on the little baby animal. She felt a little nervous at the moment. Although she had been some sort of aqquaintance when Faye had been at the facility a long time ago, she certainly didn't know anything about her. But they could become friends, right? "So how are you?" Curious light green eyes upturned to study Faye's form. Keely scratched the back of her neck thoughtfully, eyebrows furrowed slightly.
