Silvery-gray eyes flicked up to stare Skya in the eye, unflinching. Sasha had apparently discovered a new American phrase for it slid out with ease. "Fuck off." He muttered, sitting back in his chair. There was some sort of emotion that he was trying to cover up, something that he thought was too weak an emotion. It would be pathetic and he didn't want to think or acknowledge it.
It was the same way he'd been when he'd first arrived at the facility years ago. He'd been hostile, covering up the hurt and disappointment of giving up his figure skating due to injury. He'd been hostile to cover up how lost, sad, and afraid he'd been. He stared at Skya as if he didn't know her, as if they hadn't had their ups and downs in friendship over the past few years. He stared at her as he would a stranger. Maybe it was him that was the stranger. Any warmth he might have learned had evaporated and he was back to his cold, reserved self.
[So, I have to say that this is probably all I've heard from Sasha in the past few weeks of my plans to return Sasha to Cross. He's grown fond of this term, apparently. I hate that word. He likes it.]

Skya stared him down, taking a moment. Her gaze never faltered. "excuse me?" She spat loudly at him, voice raising as she kept a cold hard pair of hazel eyes on him, a wild look on her face. Her brain was cleared and her attention fully on him now, not an inch of her focus on anything other than the Russian. "I don't know what's possessed you, Russia, but I don't like it. It's a bitch," she snarled right back at him, using her own colorful language she'd become so accustomed to. Her words fell smoothly off her tongue without a moment of hesitation, running her hand over her forehead, letting out a sound of annoyance.

[XD Yay, now they're back to that love-hate relationship thing. Almost.]
Sasha narrowed his eyes. "Go annoy someone else." He muttered in response, turning his attention back to the flickering flames. He was certain this would be encouragement enough for her to figure out she'd just been dismissed by him. He just needed to be alone, to get accustomed to this situation. He wasn't going back to Russia anytime soon, he knew that with certainty. He knew that, if he competed in figure skating anymore as well, it'd definitely not be on home soil. He'd have to perform elsewhere. He wasn't going back to the Motherland.
His English was perhaps a little better than before, but he hadn't lost that Russian accent that defined his voice. While extremely short, he lacked the somewhat higher voice that shorter men tended to have. That wasn't to say his voice was low by any means, but could best be described as gravelly, perhaps because of the way Russians tended to talk in a throaty manner. It suited Sasha's personality in any case.

lool
Skya furrowed her brows. "oh, so I'm annoying YOU?" she scoffed. "why are you even back? To give everyone the cold shoulder and give snide remarks when they don't leave you alone? Some people happen to give a damn, Sasha, thank you very much. Quite pathetic of you. Why come back if all you're going to do is try and shut me out?" she rolled her eyes. "News flash, I'm not going anywhere. You're in MY home now. You're not in Russia anymore, you can't go around acting like the Queen, though you've got the ornery, narcissistic personality for it,"

[Oh, she told you, Sasha.]
"You want to know the fucking reason I am here?" Sasha asked, voice oddly lacking emotion at a sentence where it'd be perfectly acceptable. "I have no reason to stay in Russia anymore. Nothing there for me now." He'd sold everything off and he had severed all ties with his friends, though he'd had few. He'd burned the bridges on his side, since everyone had burned the bridges on their side. He didn't elaborate any further on what he meant by there being nothing there for him.
He used to visit Russia every few months to check in on his mother and ensure she was doing well. He used to drop in and visit his former coach from figure skating. They'd once had a great relationship but that had crumbled only days after he'd injured his foot prior to the Olympics, as if it had been his own damn fault that bones in his foot broke. He had lost a lot of respect, too, for some of the figure skaters in Russia. He chose not to dwell on that for the time being.[/sub]
