[Oh, she told you, Sasha.] "You want to know the fucking reason I am here?" Sasha asked, voice oddly lacking emotion at a sentence where it'd be perfectly acceptable. "I have no reason to stay in Russia anymore. Nothing there for me now." He'd sold everything off and he had severed all ties with his friends, though he'd had few. He'd burned the bridges on his side, since everyone had burned the bridges on their side. He didn't elaborate any further on what he meant by there being nothing there for him. He used to visit Russia every few months to check in on his mother and ensure she was doing well. He used to drop in and visit his former coach from figure skating. They'd once had a great relationship but that had crumbled only days after he'd injured his foot prior to the Olympics, as if it had been his own damn fault that bones in his foot broke. He had lost a lot of respect, too, for some of the figure skaters in Russia. He chose not to dwell on that for the time being.

no what were you going to say Amber
Skya didn't reply; sitting there and staring straight at Sasha. Her jaw was taut, and she whipped around. Stalking into the kitchen she grabbed her glass and noisily put it in the dishwasher, slamming the door shut. She let out an exasperated sigh, running her hands through her hair. Her eyes and throat burned, stomach churning in distaste. Skya leaned on the counter, closing her eyes. "stop cussing!" she half-yelled, voice rock hard as she glanced around. She flexed her jaw, occupying herself, glancing at everything and occupying herself. She looked peed off, to say the least. "I know you've been rude in the past but I don't like this f-bomb you keep dropping. It's not you," she snarled, though she couldn't care less.

Sasha, too, stood up, but didn't follow her into the kitchen while she angrily put the cup into the dishwasher. He waited until she'd returned and yelled at him. A ghost of a smile flickered across his face. "It's not me?" He repeated, almost amused. "It's not me," He repeated and let out a single grunt of laughter. "Maybe I am not who I once was." He announced loftily. His English was still somewhat fragmented, but it wasn't quite so imperfect. "Things change." Again, there was a flicker of what could be sadness, but it was gone in an instant. He lifted his chin but didn't say another word. He couldn't find the words.
An odd expression settled over him and he glanced away, the hostility seeming to melt away for an instant. He frowned and flexed his fingers, eyes searching the fire again. He didn't know why he was here. He shouldn't have come. He just wanted to forget everything that had happened. The fight was leaving Sasha as this new mood took over. He'd been known for his occasional mood swings, been known to be unpredictable. Often, he was aggressive, reserved. That was his main personality, but it stemmed off into many different sections. He was so odd.

Skya let out a loud, exhausted sigh. "I guess they do," with that, she stalked up the staircase, taking two at a time with ease at a fast pace. She entered her room, locking her door and throwing herself into her bed. Though she wasn't tired, she buried herself under her duvet, pulling it over her face and closing her eyes, letting sleep overcome her.
sorry short not feeling Sky anymore

[It's fine. NO SUBS LEO BAD ] Sasha watched Skya go, following her movements with his eyes until she'd disappeared from view. He then returned his gaze toward the fire before curling up on the couch. He hadn't unpacked any of his stuff and frankly didn't feel like searching for an empty room upstairs at this time of night. He didn't feel like putting out all the sheets and the likes, either. Instead, he just sank down wearily onto a chair, pulled his feet up and stared into the fire, emptying his mind until all he heard was the fire crackling and the whispers echoing on the edges of his mind. The shadows danced across the walls with each flicker of the golden orange light. He rubbed at his left eye, closing his right eye to test the vision in the left. Only a few years ago, he'd lost the vision in his left eye when a horse shoe caught him on the left side of his forehead, causing a fracture near the orbital bone and some optic nerve damage. He'd lost sight gradually, which had left him devastated. He still bore the scars, but since leaving America, he'd regained vision. Not naturally, though. He'd had surgery that had restored a little vision, though all that it'd done was allow him to see light and shadow as well as blurry shapes. It didn't go beyond that and doctors didn't think it ever would.[/sub]

*tumbles down stairs* Hello, Amber! C:
Bah, reading back on some old stuff and there's these two pieces that mention Grace and again I can see why he loved her so much. He was blinded to her faults and he just loved her so much, but then there's the ones where she turns out to be an utter bitch and he's so confused and devastated. Why can't I write like that anymore?
And I still remember when I considered making it that Mike and Grace kind of cheated behind Adam's back, but then I began to realize that no, Mike would never do that to his best friend. Mike's too good of a guy and I think perhaps he knew what Grace was really like but wasn't able to make Adam realize this.
