Corrigan turned to his son. "Do you, Cyprian, enter this Challenge willingly, understanding that the loser will die?"
Cyprian met his alpha's gaze and gave a nod. The white wolf released a growl of warning, moving to position himself between Luka and Ember

Luka's snarl was menacing and than a wolf grin spread across his muzzle, before gained his hind quarter under him. He couldn't wait to kill the pup and claim his mate.
Ember held her breath as she waited to see who would make the first move. Her grip on Bryn and Elora tightened.
Dax immediately flanked Elora. He stood just behind the three girls.
Bryn's gaze went from the wolves to look for the one she couldn't help but look for. A tight smile spread across her lips as she spotted Aladasair.

Corrigan stepped back. "Begin," he said.
Cyprian instantly threw a bit of his Alpha power at Luka, testing the waters as he waited for his opponent to strike. The white-gray wolf seemed relaxed but ready, gaze unwavering.

Luka snarled as Cyprian threw his power at him. His own power washed over Cyprian it wasn't nearly enough but it was something. He growled once before he sprang forward trying to grab one of Cyprian's front paws.

The white-wolf recoiled instantly, stepping out of Luka's way. The black wolf's anger was making him sloppy. Faster than the eye could follow, Cyprian lashed out with his jaws, tearing through the flesh on Luka's cheek before dancing out of the way. He threw more of his alpha power at Luka, attempting to make him submit. The white-gray wolf didn't think it would work, but it was worth a shot.

Luka let out a growl, his anger unfolding tenfold, as he lunged at the white wolf. He knocked into his side, throwing him off balance. His jaws quickly sunk into his hind leg and he yanked hard, before darting off of reach.

Cyprian scooped himself off of the ground, holding his leg off the ground. He bared his teeth and lunged forward, snapping into Luka's ear. He gave a violent tug before he darted out of reach, circling around his enemy.
Elora ground her teeth when Cyprian was injured.

Ember cried out as her mate was injured. She made a move to help him, but Dax was there tugging her behind him.
Luka snarled violently and let out a howl, he darted in again and took advantage of the prince's hurt leg. He once again bit into and pulled, then realsed and snapped at his throat.

Cyprian's weight nearly buckled beneath him, but he managed to jerk back out of Luka's range. The smaller white-gray wolf lunged forward, shoving his teeth into the flesh around Luka's right eye. He gave a violent tug before throwing the wolf away, limping out of range, ears pinned.
"You can't help him," Elora murmured to her friend. "He'll win. Just hold on."

Ember nodded.
Luka howled in pain and than reared back and slammed into Cyprian. He took him down and snapped at his muzzle. He yanked his leg back and than he darted back once more. He darted in before Cyprian could get his bearings. He bit at his jugular and didn't stop till he tastes blood. He hopped back and let out a howl of victory, not bothering to check if the prince was dead.

Cyprian gathered all of his strength, keeping the image of his mate in front of his eyes as he scooped himself off of the ground and lunged for Luka. His nose slid beneath the wolf's throat, jaws opening surround the windpipe. With a snap, Luka's esophagus was crushed and his jugular was ruptured. For good measure, Cyprian twisted his head, pulling the vital parts of Luka's throat out with a jerk of his teeth.

Luka's made a gurgling sound before he died.
Ember didn't see the end of the fight. She had ran when she thought that her mate was dying. Her sobs weren't muffled as she ran with abandonment toward the car that was waiting for her.

Cyprian staggered a bit, whining when his mate took off. He yipped softly, before his legs gave out beneath him and he collapsed to the earth, world fading out around him.
"Oh shit!" Elora shouted, turning to race after Ember. "Ember! Wait! EMBER!"
Alasdair moved forward, crouching to scoop the unconscious wolf form of Cyprian into his arms. He strode towards the car as Corrigan turned to the pack whose alpha died.

Ember didn't stop until she was safely in the vehicle, she sobbed and sobbed. Her heart breaking as she replayed the scene in her head time and time again.
Dax was right behind the prince. His eyes saddened at the lost of the prince. He hadn't stayed either.
