A few weeks had passed since the first arrivals at SBR. Everyone was settled, their teams were made, their horse partners were assigned, and fun was being had. It was the end of July in Florida, which meant it was really, really, really hot. The average high was always between 97 and 101 degrees, but one day it topped out at 103, the record high for the year. Because of the scorching heat, most team games were held down on the beach and involved playing in the cooling gulf. Today, it's Wednesday, so that means Min is making her daily rounds to tell everyone to tack up and head to the beach wearing their team colors. It was competition day.
Min banged on the first cabin door. "Alright! Go tack up! You guys will only need your bridles today, the game is going to be bareback. Be at the beach in ten!" She shouted before doing the exact same thing to the next cabin. She chuckled as students piled out of their respectable cabins and jogged to the stable. She had already tacked up her own mare, who was ground tied near the barn.

Mikael's eyes opened gradually as he was stirred form sleep. He blinked a few time, shook his hair out to dislodge the remaining sleep and crawled out from under his covers. A few minutes later, he emerged from the bathroom showered, dressed, and having clean teeth. He headed for the stables, slipping into to the tack room to retrieve Brego's bridle. The large bay's ears swung forward when Mikael slid into his stall. Brego craned his head, nipping at the young teen's hair affectionately before he snuffled the boy's clothes, in search of a treat. Mikael rolled his eyes, retrieving the one sugar cube he had in his back pocket, offering it to the horse in his open palm. The colt snapped it up happily, standing still when Mikael slid the bit into his mouth and the bridle over his head. With his horse ready, he led Brego to the mounting block, swung onto the large creature's back, and directed the horse to the beach.

Aislynn shortly appeared beside Mikael atop of her own horse, a small mare. The horse was pretty, it was a small paint mare with dark chocolate eyes. "So I finally got ontop of Badger Face! Took forever." Aislynn said, tugging gently on her mare's white mane. (Badger Face looks like this)

Twitterpated Love shifted around in her stall, becoming anxious as all of the other horses were led outside by their riders. She huffed a bit, craning her neck to chew on the front of her stall. It wasn't a windsucking habit, just a chewing habit. It was rough on her teeth, but didn't hurt her lungs at all. Twitter yanked her head back after her tongue touched the smooth wood. Min had started coating the top of the stall door with a bit of nontoxic dish soap, it kept the mare off the door from the nasty taste in her mouth.

Mikael craned his head to offer Aislynn an encouraging smile. "That's great," he told her. Though he'd begun to open up in the few weeks they'd been at the ranch, he was still introverted and highly anti-social, mainly as a result of his Asperger's. Brego twisted his head to snuff lightly at Badger Face.
[want me to make another charrie for Twitter?]
