Goldenclan
Clan of Loyalty and Moxie
Introduction
Your humans thought it would be a good idea to bring you on their skiing vacation with them; they were wrong. You've been lost for days after wandering away from your human's den. White flakes fall from the sky at night and it's bitterly cold. Your stomach has gone from grumbling from hunger to snarling at you in starvation.
You don't think that you're going to last another night when you see paw prints pushed into the light blanket of snow that has fallen. They aren't yours, they're too big. There's another set! These are smaller. You can smell the cats' trail and follow it for a while. After what seems like forever, the tracks suddenly vanish at the base of a tree. Your hear a fierce yowl and don't have any time to flee before a burly tom lands on top of you, his claws on in your shoulder.
" Stop! It's a kittypet!" You hear a female voice say and suddenly the tom cat is off of you. As your wildly flail around trying to get your barrings, a stern male voice speaks, "You are on Goldenclan territory, kittypet! What are you doing here?". Before you can answer after your eyes lock onto the huge amber tom, the tawny she-cat next to him speaks. "It's lost, mousebrain! Let's take it to Icestar. She'll know what to do."
Everything next is a blur, and before you know it, you're surrounded by more cats, mostly tabbies, and the sun is coming up. A white she cat is speaking to you: "Do you wish to join us?" she asks, you furiously nod your head, noticing that all the cats seem rather healthy. " I am Icestar. Welcome to Goldenclan." As her gentle voice says the clan's name, the sunlight peaks over the trees, landing on the clan cats' fur and reflecting the golden light.
Location
The territory of Goldeclan is located at the base of one of the Rocky Mountains. It's rather warm in the summer, but snows during the winter. There are a few main points in the territory:
Evergreen Forest: A large forrest that makes up most of the clan's territory. As you can guess, there is a large population of evergreen trees, but there are also trees that loose their leaves and in the fall and winter the forest floor is covered with the decaying leaves. In the summer though, soft and spongy grass makes up the forest's floor.
Ice Spring:
CampA cold spring located in the middle of the forest. Medicine cats go here to sp
eak with Starclan.
Clear River: A thin river that flows from the peak of the mountains and flows throughout the territory, emptying out in Ice Spring in the form a small brook. It isn't very wide, but is deep in places. Small silver fish swim in it during the spring and summer moons.
Training Hollow: A large oval clearing with spongy grass in the forest. Thick hollow trees covered in moss encircle it and Clear River runs through it, creating a perfect place for apprentices to train, as well as gather fresh moss.
Owl Tree: The largest tree in the territory. The huge oak is a known home for hawks and owls to make there nests, so apprentices are not aloud near it, for the large birds might scoop them up.
Two Leg Dens: A long trek away from the camp, there is are about five wooden cabins that humans rent in the winter for vacation. It is far enough out of the territory that clan cats would not be near it.

The camp is nestled in a small valley against the bottom of a sheer cliff wall, the solid rock making up the North wall of camp. The West wall of camp is made up of a large fallen tree, so thickly covered in thorny vines that the bark isn't visible, except for a hole that leads into the hollow tree. Nests are made in the top branches where vines without thorns have been weaved to make a sort of roof over the branches closer to the ground. The East wall is formed by Clear River. One of the deepest parts runs along this stretch that makes up the wall, and to prevent kits from falling in warriors have moved stones to form a barricade between the camp and the river. The South wall, where the entrance is located, is a wall of rocks and vines. Vines from the West wall that have slowly reached out have been shaped to form a corner, and after generations of shaping and cats moving rocks, the wall was formed. Sharp thorns keep out foes trying to climb the wall, and the entrance is a tunnel made by pushing a stone out of the wall. It is nicely hidden though, so only cats raised in the clan know exactly where it is.
Leaders Den: The leaders den is a crevice about four feet up in the center of the North Wall. An overhang of rock makes a balcony for the leader to jump onto to get into his or her den, and it also makes a good speaking platform to address the clan. The crevice opens up into a large hollow den.
Medicine Den: This den is under the over hand of the Leader's den. Vines hang down to give it a closed in appearance, and if you enter through the vines you will see that there is large hole that goes deeper into the wall. The stone floor is worn smooth from the many cats walking over it, and nests are pushed against the walls for cats who are too sick to leave the medicine den. The Medicine Cat and Medicine Cat Apprentice sleep here.
Nursery and Elders Den: The nursery and elders den are inside the huge hollow tree making up the West wall. It is nice and warm in there, the thick vines making an extra layer of insulation, as well as protection for the more vulnerable cats inside. The Nursery makes up the top half of the tree, where another hole at the very top opens up into the warrior's den, and the elder's sleep towards the bottom of the tree.
Warriors Den: At the crown of the tree is the warriors den. Vines have made a sort of hollow shell around the empty vines, leaving the branches to be used for nests. Warriors have been able to tie branches together with strips vines to hold together nests.
Apprentices Den: A large hawthorn bush is located in the South West corner of camp, and Apprentices make their nests under it.

Authority Positions
In the clan there are many roles that the cats can have and there are duties that go with those jobs.
Leader: The Leader is the head of the clan. He or She puts the clan first, always. It is their duty to make sure the clan is safe at all times and they make the overall decision. They are blessed by Starclan and are given nine lives. The word of the leader is law and the leader has the power to banish or exile.
Deputy: The Leader's second in command. The Deputy organizes patrols and maintains order in the clan. If a leader dies, then the Deputy must contact Starclan to become leader and receive their nine lives.
Medicine Cat: Medicine cats are the healers of the clan. They are guided by Starclan and have the closest bonds with our ancestors. They keep the clan healthy. They cannot have kits and can only take a mate if they have an experience apprentice.
Warriors: Warriors are the adult cats of the clan. They hunt and protect the clan.
Apprentices: Warriors in training. Kits become apprentices at the age of 6 moons and train with an assigned mentor until the leader and mentor feel that the apprentice is ready to become a warrior. One apprentice may also choose the life of a medicine cat, but they train with the Medicine Cat instead of Warriors.
Queens: She Cats with kits, or expecting kits.
Elders: Warriors that have retired after serving a long life with the clan and choose to live the remainder of their life peacefully.
Kits: Kittens of the clan. They live in the nursery until they are 6 moons old, then they become apprentices and move into the Apprentice Den.

Naming
Here in Goldenclan, there is a different way of receiving names. Kits are born with a base name and when they become apprentices they can choose between having a Tribe name, or a Clan name, and it continues on until their warrior ceremony. This practice is because when Goldenclan was founded, the founding leader Goldenstar was mates with a female Tribe cat, Swift Willow the Meek. Put Ziti on your forms in lime green. After Willow had her kits her Tribe joined with Goldenclan, giving the clan a mixture of Tribe and Clan names. As the two cultures mixed, this odd naming ceremony became custom and has stuck ever since.
Characteristics
Tabby Markings
Green or Yellow Eyes
Broad Shoulder Toms
Sleek She Cats
Good Tree Climbers

Rules
(You all know the basic rules, but here are a few of my own.)
Try to keep the male to female ratio the same. No one wants 549758 she cats and then 3 toms.
Try to come up with creative base names. Things that are in nature, nothing like Sword or Disco or Blade or anything. Things like Melody or Dream are fine, be creative!
NO ODD PELTS OR POWERS OR WEAPONS. Seriously that's one of my pet peeves. No green pelted cat with red eyes cat that has a shank. k thx.
