"I did, I am, and I simply do," Doru responded, answering her questions in order. "I have lived for two millennia. I think I can figure things out." He tilted his head. "You are one of my kind, and it is possible to bring the wolf out of her dormant state." He shrugged. "And common sense tells me that if you were curious enough to stray into wolf-controlled lands, you're going to look for their base."

"You were going to take my innocence! To use me. Against my own father. How did you get me here? You put me under your spell didn't you? DIDN'T YOU! And I'm stuck with you. The king of the nephilim of all people. I'm stuck with you."she said, her voice a whisper now. At first she had been yelling, screaming at him, but as she talked her voice became quieter and quieter.

Lyric's caught the faint scene of a paranormal and heard him as he tramped around the forest like a giant. Her curiosity caught the better of her and she went to investigate.

[Amber]

Bree frowned at him. "Well, can I see it then? Or am I not able to? What do you mean by dormant? Why don't I shift?" She asked him accusingly, eyes narrowing even more. "I do not know one simple thing about your kind. Other than that you exist. That is all." She sighed, leaning so that her hand braced her body up by resting against the trunk of a tree.

"I know," Kayrin said softly. "I wasn't going to use you against your father, you know. I just... I was scared. I thought that if you weren't leader of the Schimba, there was no way my people could fail." He sighed. "If it is what you wish, I can break the ties that bind you here." His expression was sad, shoulders slumped in defeat. It seemed that his people were doomed after all. Summoning all of his energy, Kayrin stood, very much the king he'd been for a very long time. "Is that what you wish, my queen?" he asked her, voice soft and gentle and defeated.

[Toothless]

"You do not shift because your wolf is buried deep in your subconscious. Have you ever experienced unexplained emotions at odd times? Emotions like aggression or loyalty? That is your wolf attempted to reach out." Doru tipped his head. "I suppose you can see it, but not tonight. The hour is late, and I have much to worry about to keep my people safe."

Bree's eyes flickered with something, like the expression you get once you finally figure something out. She turned away though, shoulders squared and tense. "When will I be able to? Someone else could show me, you know. If you are too busy...." She sighed, rubbing her hand against her face thoughtfully.

Devin, however curious he was, stayed by the thin tree line. He was only going to stay for a minute. He suddenly paused, whipping around as he heard a nose. His light vorbs strained to see through the trees.

It was a long while, before Ember finally replied and it was not the reply she was expecting herself to say,"No. For now I will put up with you." Ember lifted her head and squared her shoulders. She was a queen now. Not the queen she thought she would be, but a queen nonetheless."We're mates for a reason. I want to find out that reason."she said, softly. Her eyes sought his as she slowly made her way back to the couch. She sat stiffly, her wings flexing slightly, Will you let me in? she whispered in his mind. She wanted to get to know him. Ember realized she knew really nothing about. Besides the basics which were he was beautiful, he was a king, and he was nephilim. That was about all she really knew about him and yet she wanted to know everything. She gently pushed against his walls.

Lyric's voice rang from all around him,"You know little boys shouldn't wander into the forest so close tonight. Dangerous creatures live in the shadows."her voice spooky but coming everywhere.

Kayrin squeezed his eyes shut. You must be absolutely certain that you wish to see what lies inside my heart and mind, my queen. What you see... they are images you will not forget. Kayrin turned his black eyes to his mate, watching her. He did not find the connection, though he kept his deepest memories a secret until she agreed that she wanted to see them. They weren't happy memories, and would likely scar her. Still, there were no secrets between mates.

"Show me them all."Her voice never wavering as she lifted her chin and raised her gaze to meet his. She knew what she was going to see some pretty gruesome stuff and she was prepared for it. He was her mate after all. She didn't know why, but she did know she needed to respect they're connection.
