Jai grunted, shifting into the fastest animal on earth: the peregrine falcon. He zipped after Ember, eyes sparkling.

Ember shot through the sky, laughing and giggling. Her spirits soared as she did. She smiled as her wings carried her weight easily. She had always loved flying as a bird, but this feeling was so much better than even that. She was herself.

Lauren was holed up in her kitchen, amid the smells and sights of homemade cooking.
Kayrin zipped along, landing with infinite grace and ease. He flared his wings slightly, before curling them in on themselves.
Jai spiraled up, before zipping downward, gaining speeds of over two-hundred miles an hour. He easily shot past Ember with a slight chur of amusement.

I think I can, Jai responded, fluttering towards the earth. His talons clicked on the Schimba manor's doorstep. He returned to his human form, leaning against the door as he waited for Ember.

Ember landed with pure grace, her wings fully extended beautifully and her head tilted to the side with her lips softly parted. She smiled as she looked at Jai. "Oh well. Better luck next time."she said and than kissed his shoulder as she passed,"Lauren! My doll, I smell your wonderful cooking!"she said.

"You're late!" Lauren hollered back. "I expected you an hour ago." Lauren stood in the kitchen doorway, hands on her hips, a bit of flour smudged on one cheek. Over all, Lauren was cute; not pretty in Ember's way, just cute. She had large, doe-like eyes that were a stormy gray, sometimes an odd silver, a cute button nose, and soft, silky brown hair that fell in waves to her shoulders. She was short, barely reaching five-feet, but her height only added to her appeal. She was slender and small, but not someone to be reckoned with.

Meet me after dinner. it wasn't a question more like an order. She stiffened when Ren walked into the room. His hard and cold eyes surveying the room quietly before he sat down, glaring.

The instant that Ren strode into the room, Lauren went utterly still. She stared at Ember, heart pounding, fear blossoming in her stormy eyes. Without another word, Lauren spun on her heel, bowed respectfully to Ren, and hurried into the kitchen.
Sure, Jai responded, plopping into his seat at the table. His leaf-green eyes watched Ren discreetly.
A few moments later, Lauren returned, burdened with a large bowl of her home-made spaghetti, struggling slightly. She managed to place it on the table before she scurried away once more, returning a few seconds later with a basket of fresh bread. She dipped her head again, ready to hurry back into the kitchen.

Ren barely glanced at Lauren, instead he focused on his sister. He smirked,"Found your mate, huh? About time. I can't wait. You'll be so consumed by him you won't even care about being the heir and this bastard will be sorefully forgotten."he said and glanced at Jai, a smug smirk on his lips. He glanced at Lauren as she scurried out of the room once more. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, but she intrigued him.
Ember's eyes were murderous as he brought up her newly found mate. No way would she ever give up her people for a man.

Lauren felt Ren's gaze follow her as she fled to the kitchen, dipping inside the pantry to catch her breath. "Shit," she breathed, sliding down against the wall. The things the man did to her... he caught her attention and held it fully, but at the same time, Lauren was scared shit-less of Ren. She'd inadvertently watched a few of the abusive behaviors he displayed towards his sister, and Lauren, being a bit more submissive than Ember, was petrified. Some voice at the back of her mind told her that Ren wouldn't hurt her - her heart? psssh - but Lauren didn't believe it. He was cruel and cold and if Lauren let herself fall for him, he'd fuck her, use her and leave her hanging.
Her stormy eyes filled with silent tears, ones that she attempted to blink away, though a few broke free and ran down her cheek.
